Overview
Recently, the Central Asian economies are feeling the “double whammy” of falling commodity prices and the economic contraction in Russia. This impact seems likely to be particularly strong on the region’s poorest countries (Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic), for whom Russia is an important export market and provider of remittances, investments, and (increasingly) ODA. After falling 17% in 2014, Russia’s imports from other countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) dropped by a reported 46% during the first two months of 2015. This has corresponded to large declines in the Central Asian countries’ exports to Russia and, increasingly, to one another. In this context, FinEmergia, which has been providing company and financial information globally since two decades, offers Central Asia Country Guides for Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The objective of our country guides is to provide theoretical analysis on various topics and statistical data such as key economic indicators, exports-imports data, business safety rankings and business confidence index, FDI data, global trade merchandise data, stock market performance, and most favored industry statistics for each of the five Central Asian countries.
